Angus MacQueen is an award-winning documentary maker who specializes in creating films about the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. During MacQueen's celebrated career he has interviewed President Gorbachev and has regularly collaborated with October Films, London. MacQueen has been described by Tim Adams as a 'profound listener' who has crusaded to present an insightful portrait of post-communist Russia to the West. More recently MacQueen has focused his filmmaking on South America for Channel 4's Cocaine series which was comprised of three intimate films from the coca fields of the Peruvian Andes, via drugs gangs in the favelas of Rio, to the man behind half of Colombia's drug trade.
