Phil Grabsky is a documentary filmmaker and founder of Brighton's
Seventh Art Productions. His last film The Boy who Plays on the Buddhas
of Bamiyan has been awarded with no less than ten prestigious awards
worldwide. Grabsky is currently completing his latest film about Mozart
- a documentary which is symbolic of Seventh Art's contribution to the
production of high-profile art films. For Grabsky, researching In Search
of Mozart involved travelling to ten countries and over 100 locations in
his personal quest to find out who Mozart really was. This 'filmmaker on
a search' approach to documentary-making marks a transition in the way
Seventh Art creates its films since its establishment in 1985.
